We had the best time exploring the shipwrecks while scuba diving in the Aghulas current. The underwater world was insane! And let's not forget about chilling on the spacious covered balcony, sipping our beers and watching the waves, whales, and dolphins doing their thing. The swing-chair was the perfect spot for some relaxing and reading. We felt like we were in paradise!
If there's one thing we could ask for, it would be more party vibes for us young folks. It would have been awesome to have some late-night music and a designated party area.

The beach was really close, just a short walk away, which was great for spending time in the sun. Also, there were some nice shops and a good restaurant nearby, so we had options for meals and shopping. One thing that stood out was the funky decor of the place, with colorful ornaments and a unique African style. It gave the place a fun and vibrant atmosphere.
The staff's greeting on arrival was cold and unwelcoming, which was a shame. The camping pitches were not ideal, as they were right next to the kitchen window, and the whole place felt overcrowded.

had an amazing time at this cozy backpackers in JBay. Chill vibes, friendly staff, and met cool people. Perfect for young surfers with the beach just across the street. Highly recommended for a fun and social stay.
Breakfast lacked variety, could have been better.

The chill atmosphere and peak surfer vibes create a mind-blowing experience. The large private suite, with a private bathroom and kitchenette, offers amazing value for money. The common areas, including the bar, pool table, and games, are super cool. The helpful staff and convenient location near grocery stores and restaurants are jaw-dropping. The main beach and surfing village are fantastic. The limited but self-catering style breakfast and spacious common kitchen are a great touch. The braai night on the terrace with sea views was a delightful surprise. The surf lesson with Raino was a highlight. a super nice place to chill out and meet new people. Can't wait to come back!

The scuba diving in the Aghulas current was absolutely captivating, with numerous shipwrecks and an abundance of fish to admire. We spent hours on the spacious covered balcony, watching the waves, whales, and dolphins in awe as we sipped on our cold beers. The swing-chair was a perfect spot for relaxation and our family loved hanging about there.
For dads, it would be great to have a designated play area for the children.

The double private Room at African Ubuntu Backpackers was just what I needed for a peaceful and private stay. It gave me the perfect opportunity to rest and recharge after a long day of biking. I felt completely at ease in the cozy and comfortable surroundings.
Personally, I found the morning studio a bit too independent for my liking. But hey, that's just me!

Spacious garden with hammocks, great for lounging and meeting other travelers. The Coastal Stretch in Jbay has some of the longest waves on the planet. Ideal base for exploring nearby wilderness areas and game reserves.
People breaking rules get a stern talking to. or maybe just a beat-up, if they're lucky.

I absolutely adored my stay at this charming establishment. The decoration exuded a warm and cozy ambiance, reminiscent of a quaint beach cottage. The general areas were delightful, with swings and comfortable seating on the balconies, perfect for enjoying the stunning ocean views. As a senior, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, with everything conveniently located on one level. It made navigating around the property effortless for me.
I would have loved to see more activities catered specifically for senior guests.

We had a blast scuba diving in the aghulas current, spotting shipwrecks and swimming with a variety of fish. Plus, chilling on the covered balcony, sipping beers and watching the waves, whales, and dolphins was the ultimate relaxation. Oh, and that swing-chair was perfect for lazy afternoons and reading.
That the hostel didn't have any late-night partying options for us young, fun-loving folks. It would have been awesome to have a lively bar or organized events to keep the party going into the night.
